Yes, that’s not only a very entertaining game but also helps the child learn. Let your child derive joy from sorting things. You can put things like fruits, crayons, blocks etc. together and ask your child to sort them out on the basis of their shape, colour, or size. Interesting, isn’t it?
Balloon fun
All kids love balloons. When I was small, I would beg my parents to buy me one whenever we came across a street vendor. And one balloon was all I needed to keep myself occupied the whole day long. Just make sure your kid doesn’t put it in his/her mouth.
Picture books
For me, this is one of the best ways to enhance your child’s imagination right from the beginning. Picture books are not only entertaining, but help develop a child’s interest in reading at a tender age. Because of this very activity that takes place in my cousin sister’s day care school in Noida, she has become so fond of books.
Colouring books
I don’t know the reason why, but I just do not see enough colouring books any more. I loved colouring so much that my parents lost count of books I filled up with colours. I guess children nowadays prefer painting apps on smartphones over physical colouring books. But this is still a great way of keeping a child busy and happy.
